01 — Practice Istanbul, Türkiye

An architecture studio known for refined spatial intelligence, climate-responsive design and strong public realm thinking.

Founded by Architect Öznur Çağlayan, OC A works across Hospitality & Resorts, Branded Residences, Education & Innovation Campuses, Modular Social Infrastructure, and Adaptive Reuse — from Istanbul to Bamako, from Antalya to Tashkent. Each project begins with a careful reading of climate, culture and constraint; each ends with a design that is legible, buildable and adaptable over decades.

02 / Lines of Work

Three lines of work, one practice.

OC A and MatrixLab respond to three structural shifts in contemporary architecture: the move from buildings to districts, the urgent need for scalable social infrastructure, and the transformation of existing building stock into a more refined, sustainable form of comfort.

03 / Selected Works

Selected works, 2018 — 2025.

A small selection across the three lines of work. Across geographies, scales and programs, the practice maintains the same emphasis on geometric clarity, climatic intelligence and long-term adaptability.

04 / Approach

Clarity, climate, continuity.

Our architectural language rests on three principles. They are operational rather than stylistic — they shape market value, operational efficiency, long-term adaptability and user satisfaction.

001
Clarity

Legibility, proportion, rational geometry. A plan that can be read at first glance and grows in depth on the second.

002
Climate

Orientation, shade, airflow, microclimates. Comfort produced by geometry and landscape, not only by machines.

003
Continuity

Architecture, public realm, interiors and modular systems read as a single, coherent environment that can adapt over time.

05 / Geography

Working across four geographies.

Multi-country delivery aligned with RIBA and AIA processes. Bilingual coordination and a network of long-standing local consultants in each region.
