DEDAŞ which is the electrical distribution company of 6 cities at Southern East Region of Turkey. The head office is placed at Diyarbakır and a new generation building became inevitable after the reorganization, modernization of the company and in increase of the number of employees in a short period of time. We met Exim Holding (owner of DEDAŞ) in order to realize their head quarter construction project meeting their “delivering qualified service to the
region” vision. The campus area of the building will be placed is a large and a well-kept area placed on the Urfa way. Which is also Airport – city connection road. Building has been located with the front façade parallel to the main road to be seen when entering the ncity coming from airport. Also it is designed to be lying at the center of the campus. Diyarbakır has a very hot climate and this has been taken under consideration that the sunlight will not be let to enter the spaced directly. So the position has been decided with the parameter of building with a minimum surface on the west. Very hot summers in Diyarbakir, especially direct sunlight should not be taken into the space revealed. Therefore, the building was positioned to give as little facade as possible in the west direction. Building is designed for 600 employees to work and designed as a green building with all electricity & HVAC design. Any fossil energy resources are being used. New generation sustainable equipment are installed with a sustainable and high tech MEP design. And may be assumed as a leader in energy conservation compared to similar featured examples.
